Cooking directions for family of 4
COOK: 3 tbsp toor dal + 3 cups of water + 1 tomato.
CHURN: Cooked dal + tomato, keep aside.
BOIL: 1 tbsp tamarind pulp, 1 tsp jaggery + salt + 3 tsp Udupi Kitchen Rasam Powder + 1 Green chilli +1 cup of water.
ADD: Cooked dal and boil for 5-7 minutes, add chopped fresh coriander leaves
GARNISH: Heat 1 tsp ghee, 1/2 tsp mustard + curry leaves + 1 pinch of asafoetida.
